COLD STONE CREAMERY
BRIEF:

EMC were entrusted to help Cold Stone Creamery, an international ice cream brand based in the USA, grow their presence across sub-Saharan Africa, whilst adhering to the brand’s strict criteria for international franchise partners.

EMC’s IMPACT:

EMC undertook a detailed search, based on our extensive network of local contacts and on-the-ground experience, and were successful in securing master franchise partners across six countries to date, with further countries currently under negotiation in Africa and Asia.

We helped the brand determine a fee schedule for the markets and discussed what adjustments were needed to the product or service offering in order to adapt to each market without compromising the brand’s core DNA.

Brief:

EMC were approached by Geox, a well-known Italian footwear and apparel brand that already had a strong presence in the MENA region but were keen to strengthen their presence across sub-Saharan Africa, to help introduce credible retail partners to represent the brand.

EMC’s IMPACT:

We identified the key markets where we felt the brand would be successful, based on our knowledge, and we introduced partners for whom we had already secured international brands, thus trusting their professionalism and ability to represent the brand and maintain high standards throughout. We have secured the markets of Mauritius and Gabon, with further markets under consideration.

Angolan Retail Group
BRieF:

EMC were approached by a well-regarded Angolan retail group to assist them, on an exclusive basis, to grow their portfolio of international apparel, footwear and beauty brands that they represented in the country and to enrich their existing brand portfolio.

EMC’s IMPACT:

We worked closely with the client to determine which brands we felt would be successful in the market. We carried out comprehensive market research and shortlisted brands with whom we had a strong relationship, negotiating competitive terms for our client. The brands in question are: BOSS, Hugo, CH Carolina Herrera and The Body Shop.
